Pausing and deactivating devices

You can pause (suspend) or deactivate devices directly from the portal.

Pause (Suspend) is a temporary action. This may be used if there is a device that you expect to reactivate at some point. For example, you may wish to pause a device if a patient is going out of the country for several months but they expect to return. It's important to note that reactivating a device will incur additional charges that are imposed by the cellular network. Pausing a device subscription will generally only make economical sense if you expect the device to be inactive for at least 3 months and you expect to reactivate it.

Terminate (Deactivate) is a permanent action that cannot be undone. No additional fees will be accumulated for terminated devices. However, the SIM card in that device will no longer work and it will no longer function. TERMINATING A DEVICE IS AN IRREVERSIBLE ACTION.

Both of these actions may be deployed from the action button on the "Devices" screen. This button looks like three small dots in the far right column of the "Actions" screen.
